About Us

Angler's Roost started in 2009, founded by Johnny Kuehn out of a pretty straightforward belief: fly fishermen shouldn't have to overpay for quality gear. Rods, reels, blanks, fly tying supplies, rod-building components. Good stuff, fair prices.

It worked. Over the years the brand built up a real following in the fly fishing community. People kept coming back, and a lot of them became regulars. Johnny knew his products inside and out and it showed in everything he sold.

After his passing, the business stopped. But the people who loved the brand didn't go anywhere.

In 2023, we had the opportunity to purchase the remaining Angler's Roost inventory and get things going again. We're based out of New York, and we've been working to get the full catalog properly organized and listed. There's a lot of product, and we're doing it right rather than doing it fast.

The response from the fly fishing community has meant a lot to us. Johnny put in years of work building something people genuinely cared about, and we take that seriously.
